2026 Red Snapper Dates

Red snapper are about to be the headline bite in the Gulf. Florida’s 2026 private recreational red snapper season is shaping up to be one for the record books, with 140 days of fishing opportunity on the calendar. The summer run opens May 22 and stays hot through July 31, then picks back up September 1 through October 4. Anglers will also get additional weekend shots in October, November, and December, giving plenty of chances to put fresh Gulf snapper on ice.
